If you need to reply directly to me, just remove the capitalised letters

Thanks, Ricky, For your reply. I did save tho old documents folder.
When importing, none of the items in the identies folder show in the
dialog box named SELECT YOUR "OE USER' FOLDER. Your help is much
appreciated. --Dwight

This is where lots of users get confused. You cannot use the "File >
Import" menu to bring old OE 5.x data back into OE 5. This pathway is only
to be used if you're trying to import old OE 4.x data.
Instead, you simply need to make sure that your old Microsoft User Data
folder is being stored in the correct place.
OE 5 will look for its mail data in one of two places, as shown here...
<http://homepage.ntlworld.com/tg.online/oe/mud.html>
If you make sure that the old MUD folder that you backed up is restored to
one of these locations, OE 5 should be able to read it immediately, without
the need for any kind of import procedure.
I hope that's clear, give it a try and let me know if you're still in doubt.
