Since the past few days I can no longer open any of many documents I had
saved as OE email messages. Also, the application itself won't even
launch.

When I double-click on such a document or on the application itself, it
starts to launch but within a second it stops where only the words
"Outlook Express" is in the Main Menu bar and nothing responds to the
mouse. My only way out is to do the hard restart withthe RESET button.

I'm using Mac OS 9.1.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks, Ricky, for the tip. I was able to go to the second URL; there
were "no matches" for the first.

I tried to follow the "OE" instructions on my Apple Mail; I set up the
'fake' email but on this page that I'm writing there's no option for me
to choose which email address I'm actually using. In fact, I don't even
know what it's going to be until after I post it....
