This is strange...

The other day I got the error message:

______________________________________
Mail could not be received at this time.

The server for account ³Tim¹s E-mail account² returned the error ³[IN-USE]
/var/spool/mail/.tim.pop lock busy! Is another session active? Your
username/password settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try
re-entering your password?

I changed nothing in OE or elsewhere on this Mac either before or after I
got this message.

I don't know if this is related, but since getting this message, when I
click ³Send and Receive², in addition to any new mail, I get duplicate
copies of mail that I have already read from the previous day!

Some, but not all, of the duplicate copies will have the blue envelope icon
in the Online Status column.

No one else in the office is getting these duplicate emails! It takes just
as much time to receive (³download²) these duplicates as it did to get them
in the first place.

Enable "Online Access" and this will allow you to see what messages are
sitting in your remote mailbox...

Delete the duplicates from the remote mailbox and that should clear the
problem.

FYI, I would recommend that you either upgrade to OE 5.06 or use a more
up-to-date e-mail client such as Apple Mail (OE is not best suited for OS
X).  OE 5.06 is available here...
