What is the error number that is reported when this pops up on your screen?
Sometimes, compacting the database can resolve this kind of thing...

Give it a try and see what happens. HTH,

Ricky,
Did the compacting of the databases.
The problem is still there and random. He is the message:
"Mail cannot be sent to account "my-account@whatever.com".
No such device or address.

I would go with Ian's suggestion to upgrade to OE 5.0.6 (if you haven't done
so already). In general, errors such as -3205 usually imply that your
Internet connection itself is not stable and hence you can't contact the
mail server.
Sometimes, a file corruption might cause the problem, in which case you can
try to delete the following files...
Mac HD:System Folder:Preferences:Internet Preferences
Mac HD:System Folder:Preferences:PPC Registration Database
Mac HD:System Folder:Preferences:MS Internet Cache:
Note that the Internet Preferences file controls a number of options within
Internet Explorer, hence you might want to backup the file so that it can be
restored at a later time.

You may want to get a newer version too, (security updates).
Ignore the alias installed with 5.0.6, it is broken, make your own.
Check other issues like settings & location of Identities folder for 5.0.6;
With your current setup, make a screenshot of each of the Accounts settings,
(CAPS lock, Apple, shift, 4, click window), you may need this later.
Suggest moving "Identities" to "Microsoft User Data" in Documents folder,
if it's not there already, (don't think it was with 5.0.1).
This is so you don't lose you current messages.
Update the Internet Control Panel too, eMail, Web, News (default app).
Resist the temptation to chuck 5.0.2 folder,
it may contain your eMails too,
just compress the OE app, so the Mac can't see it as an app,
then it will use the newer version,
(chuck out later after testing for a few days?).
HTH, &B-) Ian
