This problem has been on & off for quite a while, when receiving mail OE
goes through the whole process of downloading mail, gets to the end and
comes up with an error - 'explanation' The disk is full - Error: - 34.

This only occurs when a file with an attachment is coming through, after the
error has appeared I cannot send anything with an attachment no matter how
large.

My service provider says everything at their end is fine. I can still
receive & send mail on all other Macs & PC's in my office. I can download
mail through my ISP's website.

This problem seems to appear randomly & sometimes last for days or weeks,
after downloading the bottlenecked file from the ISP site things can go back
to normal or linger on for a while.

I am using a G4, OS 9.1, OE 5.02, have a broadband connection, 55000k
allocated memory.

The attachments do not have to be large for this problem to occur.

A little bit of a strange one - have you tried the good old database compact
yet...?
