Need to Export Outlook Exprress Mail Folders

I have recently begun using Mac OS 10.2.8 and I'm trying to transfer all
information over to that operating system. Outlook Express in basically a
9.2 program. Even though its easy to open in Classic its a pain to use
attachments. I have to go back and save the attachments in the hard-drive
from where they are and then select them again in my email. I downloaded
Thunderbird but can't seem to get my folders and email in those folders to
transfer to Thunderbird. The import program in Thunderbird will not
recognize folders in Outlook Express. Any suggestions?

Have you tried to use Mail, Apple's own e-mail client for OS X? You can
import most OE data into Mail by following this advice...
