Any body can replicate this? I am not able to use my Multiple listing
service software from www.arismls.com
I think it is having trouble with the OLE server that is what is being used
to down load infomation. dolrac@yahoo.com

Okay, so we go to that site and then what are we supposed to do?  I
don't see any indication that they even have any Mac software.

I'm embarrassed that I missed seeing that you're running Virtual PC.

Hi,

One of the reasons I am no longer a Realtor is the horrible software
that exists for the industry. Realtors seem to be all about control and
do not cooperate with each other very well especially with technology,
despite NAR.

It appears that ARIMLS concocted their own browser. According to their
PDF download they don't consider their browser to be software, which is
a bizzare notion. "No software installed."

Are you able to connect to the internet using Internet Explorer in your
virutal PC?

Virtual PC version 7 ships with Windows XP Service Pack 2. By defualt,
the Windows firewall is turned on. My hunch is that they will want you
to disable the firewall in some way or other (perhaps open a certain
port) in order to get their browser to work. Make sure that they know
what version of Windows you are using.

I am able to connect to the internet with the Internet Explorer in VP7. The
distributed program does not work at all with or with out the microsoft
firewall on. As for the web version, it works - partially. I am not able to
print the hot sheet in VP7 using IE with or without the firewall off. I will
just improvise or buy a pc.

Hi Carlo,

I think there must be some settings in your Windows virtual machine that
are not what the software you are using needs to have.

Since you can connect to the internet using Internet Explorer you know
that Windows is working OK with your internet connection.

Does the software need a fixed IP address perhaps? It's not likely that
the problem is caused because you are using a virtual machine.

Hi Jim.  I wish it did work with VPC. I have ordered a  new imac 20 inch. I
love my G4 flat panel but maybee Virtual PC was made for the G5. The program
works... Just am not able to print the hot sheets from the web version. The
distributed version is better than the web  version it has a lot of extras
that the web version but that does not even work with virtual PC 7. Thanks
so much. Carlo.

Hi again Carlo,

Do you get any error messages when you try to print? If yes, what do the
error messages say? Can you print to the same printer from other windows
applications? Did the documents you want to print go to the print queue
(check in the windows printer control panel)? Do they get stuck there?
