I recently bought this new product from Apple. It's a router using the "n"
draft standard. ONe of it's most useful features for me is that it has a USB
port, into which you can plug a hard drive that can be shared by all
computers on the network.

It works very well, except for one bit of flakeyness. My network has 2 PC's
and 2 macs on it. On one of the PC's, the hard drive plugged into the router
is displayed inconsistently. Sometimes it shows up as the "Z" drive. Other
times it is lumped into "My Network Places". In that case, I have to log in
w/ a login and password, which I don't like. Does anyone have any clues as to
why the OS is showing this inconsistently and/or how I can have it display as
the regular Z drive? On the other PC, it just shows up by the drive's name.

Thanks. -- David

Hi David!

Rather than posting in a Microsoft forum for general Apple/Microsoft
product issues I suggest you try in this forum on Apple's website
<http://discussions.apple.com/category.jspa?categoryID=140>. It's
dedicated to Apple's Airport products and includes and "Airport for
Windows" forum.

Hope this helps! bill
