I've got a big project that should be easy, if the correct script/program is
out there. We've got a server that's used by both Macs and PC, and we need
to make sure that all the Mac files have the extensions on them for the PC to
read. I've been looking at MacName, but can't figure out how to work it.
Any advice would be great. Please let me know at dennis@hjemarketing.com
We're using OSX.4 and Windows XP. Sorry, don't know what type of server.

Hi Dennis!
Applescript should be able to accomplish this easily. Ideally, it would
look at the Mac file types of the files and then append the appropriate
.xxx extensions. You might check MacScripter.net for sources of such a
script.
Hope this helps! bill

what applications are not adding file type extensions? Microsoft and
Adobe apps as well as Mac apps all seem to be adding them by default.
You can even view them in the Finder. Go to Finder, Preferences,
Advanced: then click "View all file extensions"
