OSX build problems for SVG branch

I am posting this question here in hopes of getting some type of help
on a problem that appears elusive. (Thanks to those who have helped
me to date on this problem.)

In building an SVG enabled version of Mozilla for OSX, I continually
get to the step of running the 'autoconf' script to prepare for compilation,
and get....

"
build/autoconf/altoptions.m4:140: error: m4_defn: undefined macro:
_m4_divert_diversion
build/autoconf/altoptions.m4:137: MOZ_READ_MOZCONFIG is expanded from...
build/autoconf/altoptions.m4:140: the top level
"

I have checked to make certain I have the most recent Apple Developer
tools (gcc v 3.3), and I have the full X11 development and client
system (I have even built and run the Amaya browser). I am running
OSX 10.2.8.

Is there any help out there?

Thanks
Ken

I haven't used autoconf on MacOSX, but I do know that Mozilla requires
version 2.13 of autoconf; it won't work with version 2.5x.
Unfortunately, I think that is what is installed by default on MacOSX
(on 10.2, I only have autoconf 2.52).  You need to install autoconf
2.13, using either Fink or from a site like this
(http://macosx.forked.net/showcat.php?cat=Programming&sortmethod=name).
Hopefully, someone who has already run into this problem will respond.

That was it.

Thanks for your help!

http://fink.sourceforge.net/pdb/search.php?s=autoconf
'sudo apt-get install autoconf'
this installs a v2.13 in /sw/bin

after installing - and possibly rebooting - try
'autoconf --version'

If you still get v2.54 (in /usr/bin ) you can explicitly execute it by
giving the whole path : /sw/bin/autoconf

I must have done this at some time.
I *do* seem to have a vague recollection of having installed autoconf
v2.13 when creating the merge instructions as a consequense of some
advise on IRC on moznet #mozilla

This seems to be a step to note in my next update of the build
instructions :-) And with the 2003-50 update this has been done
