You might be able to share the settings, bookmarks etc ... But *not* the
plug ins which are binary executable based on the platform you use them on.

It worked for me with Mozilla. It absolutely did NOT with Thunderbird. I
still haven't get TBird into shape. :(

Still haven't done the wrangling on TBird. And now FF keeps restoring a
session that crashes it. :/

Seen profile sharing is not that convenience in MacOSX and windows, I
can make firefox or thunderbird start if I just copy the profile from
windows to mac and change all the path in config files (Which, can be
easily done using script)
If I just manually copy the child directory like "News", "Chrome" and
"Extension" and the main config file like pref.js and user.js, it work!
I can figure out the difference to make the process scriptable.
I wish in the future firefox and thunderbird won't use absolution path
anymore and I can just copy the profiles to USB and use it everywhere.
As I am now using Mac, Linux and Windows. In fact, if there similar
enchancement request already?
