Is there an Adobe rdr ver 7 plugin for Firefox? When I follow the links
from the help menus it points to a ver 5 plugin. Would the plugin
installed fro Safari work with Firefox? In any case, where are plugins
installed(what direcrory)?

The correct plugin is installed with Reader 7.  If you've added Firefox
since that installation, re-install or run the repair tool. Plugins are
installed, predictably, in the plugins directory.

AFAIK this plugin _only_ works with Safari, if you want to view pdfs
inside FireFox you'll need Schubert|it's PDF Browser Plugin
