I had to reinstall Mozilla for reasons that I suspect had to do with
some game playing. However, I lost all addresses, passwords, bookmarks
etc. I saved the profile folder, and managed to import a small number of
addresses. Is there an FAQ telling me how to get back my stuff? I can't
just use the profile, since it contains something that messes up Mozilla
(including no longer having any options in the File menu, not even Quit).

Have you tried opening the profiles in BBEdit?

The files I am interested in (except the bookmarks, which I had a backup
of) do not seem to be in text files. What I am wondering is what they
are called.
