Upcoming build requirements for OS-X

To build with SVG enabled (which we hope to turn on by default by the
next beta), OS-X needs an additional small build tool, pkgconfig.  This
is easy to install using fink:

  sudo apt-get install pkgconfig

The mac build instructions have been updated.

No, cairo is included in the mozilla tree and gets built when needed.

Ok ! I will try to build a trunk firefox with SVG under OSX and see what

Wow !

It is the only word which came out of my mouth after launching a svg
enabled trunk build.

But what a pity that static builds are not buildable with svg support on :(

I will keep it, anyway ;o)

Hmm, I landed some changes last week that should have fixed static
builds.  What problems are you seeing?

Error while building.

And my test build stopped working without explanation. On croczilla test
page, instead of getting the drawing, I get great red lines :(

There's a patch for this in bug 285358, if you want to give it a try.

That means the ciaro renderer component didn't load.  Did you change
anthing in the run environment?

Erh...

I switched to my old svg disabled build, and it blocked loading cairo ?!

I tried after with a big profile cleaning, but still no change :(

-> removing xul.mfasl, *.rdf, and so on :(

Did you try removing the compreg.dat file in the profile?

I don't remember. My profile was kinda old (nearly 1 year old), and it
was time to create a new one.

I will test with a svg enabled firefox my macmini is currently building
and I will tell you.

Well, a 5 minutes old build is working perfectly ;o)

I will try your patch to see if a static build can be made or not.
