Major problems with Firefox v1.0 ->

I've two "major" problems with Firefox v1.0 (final) under Mac OS X
v10.3.6:

1. If no window is open and i choose a bookmark from the
"Bookmarks"-menu then nothing happens. It only works, if i've already
opened a window. Btw, the same happens, if the download-manager window
is the only open window in Firefox.

2. I open a new (empty) window and try to type an URL. Nothing
happens. I have to click in the address-bar, before i can enter an
URL. This is very annoying.

Are there any possibilities to change this behaviour of Firefox v1.0
(final) under Mac OS X v10.3.6?

If you consider these to be "major", it must be doing pretty well. :)

This is a known bug: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=229040

I can't confirm this. If I set the home page to "use blank page", and
cmd+N to create a new window, typing goes straight into the address bar.

If I leave it set to the Google/Firefix thingy, then the google search
box is selected by default; hit cmd+L go into the address bar if you
don't want to use the mouse.
