Mac Forum / Applications / Firefox / Mozilla / October 2004MAC: Importing mail from networked PC
Installed Moz on the Mac and wanted to import data from Netscape 4.x on the PC. Worked well for the address book (once exported on the PC, muffed the list entry, no biggie). HOWEVER, importing the mail is only for *local* mail on the Mac! You're supposed to pick the profile to import from. But there is none and never has been. OK, I figured it out. It was very simple. Copied the PC folder onto the Mac desktop. Found the mail folder on the Mac. Dragged all the files from the PC mail folder into the Mac folder and ran Mozilla. Perfect! Didn't have to do ANYTHING else. I'm loving being a Mac guy. :) |
