Has anybody gotten this combo to work?

After I installed enigmail (the newest one, 0.84.0) ... the one that says is compatible w/ TBird .6, it kept crashing on restart.
So I followed the 'worst case scenario' instructions and removed my XUL.mfasl file ... restarted tbird a gain and it opened.

Then when I tried to create a new window, I got an error message about the enigmime services not working, and that I'd only get 1 more warning about this ... so I got that warning, and now, true to form, the warning doesn't work, but I don't think enigmail works either ...

Before, I understand it needs an emigMIME package .. but it seems that's hard enough to find that it's not necessary? The docs say you just need the gpg binary in your path, and I certainly have that ... anyone have any ideas?

cheers,
-steve

Yes, I installed it just yesterday and it's working fine for me. (on Mac
OS X 10.3.3)

The Enigmime xpi should be at:
http://enigmail.mozdev.org/download.html

Specifically:
http://downloads.mozdev.org/enigmail/enigmime-0.84.0-darwin.xpi

Did you install enigmime after installing enigmail? Did you configure
the path to gpg etc in the enigmail settings?

(I'm using gnupg from fink, so it's /sw/bin/gpg.)
