In Netscape, I can find a preference folder in the system
folder, and locate what I need for backing up mail.  However,
in Mozilla, there doesn't seem to be any such preference folder
in anything called a system folder. (I'm a novice at OS X) How
do I back up my mail folder?

Thanks in advance,

~/Library/Mozilla/Profiles/[profile name]/[random string].slt/

~/ would be you users home folder/dir

You Mail folder would be at:
~/Library/Mozilla/Profiles/[profile name]/[random string].slt/Mail
