Netscape 7 for OS X, (owned by AOL), offers to access AOL email after
setting up the mail account wizard.
I've read that it has a gateway to get behind the firewall of AOL's
mail server and allow users to benefit from NS 7's better features.
After setting up the NS email wizard with the aol screen name and
password it gives a 'login failed' message and I can't seem to tweak
it and get it logged in.
Can anyone offer detailed instructions on how the aol email account
has to be set up in NS 7 for OS X to login and get it to work?
Also does anyone know once successfully logged in - will NS be able to
access the exisiting address book and email saved on AOL's servers?
Thanks for any help.

I've had this same problem before as well. What I did was sign into
the AOL account using the AIM built-in to Netscape. Then I opened Mail
and tried authenticating and it worked. For some reason (which I'm
unsure of) signing on through AIM helped the authentication process
within Mail.
