User Interface Overhaul

I hope that the Mac BU overhauls the interface for Mac Messenger in
the next major release.  There is a lot of wasted screen real-estate
in the current version and it makes the application feel loose and
clumsy.  A cleaner, more compact, tight feel like iChat would be much
appreciated.

Other user interface improvements I would like to see include:

-tabbed interface for chat windows
-buddy pictures within the buddy list like iChat, Adium
-mouse over pop-up for user status messages
-have an option to turn off user-privacy warning in every single chat
window
-expand text input field in chat window to accommodate message instead
of having a huge text box to being with
-ditch the massive SEND button in chat windows
-options for adjusting text margins and spacing in chat window to make
it possible to display more lines of a chat at one time
-option to remove font styling and smilies button in each chat window
-removal of the Windows Live branding
-move file transfer status out of the chat window and into its on
window
-add support for GROWL for user notifications

Anything else you can think of or am I the only person who is somewhat
irritated with Mac Messenger's UI (it is leagues better than Windows
Messenger at least)?

Cheers,
Josh

what i meant, is that if you have the features you could keep the
branding, so far the Windows Live branding on mac, is useless..

also is it too hard to have buddy icons on the contact list, or at
least more info on the tooltips.
