hi there.
i've been using mac messenger 6.0.1 and its an awsome program but it
signs me out and says the service is un available/im not connected to
the network when of course i am. this hasn't got anything to do with
the firewall i'm absolutely sure of it and i don't think that its mac
messenger because i've used aidum, fire and also mercury and all have
done the same thing. I don't think its my account either because i've
actually created a new one and it still frequently signs me out with
the same message.
is it something to do with my actual mac?
please help..

Tim

Hi Tim,

It is possible that your network is experiencing a few hiccups, that you
wouldn't likely notice with other network applications since they will
reconnect automatically. If you are on a cable modem or DSL, there are
sometimes issues where the network has small brownouts, that otherwise would
go unnoticed, but in using a Network application that relies on the full
access, you will see these issues more frequently.

I might suggest if you are using a cable modem or DSL to keep an eye on the
modem and see if it in fact is having occassional very brief outages, just
enough to knock you offline.

Thanks,
Rebecca
