Since upgrading version, cannot receive file transfers

Since I upgraded to the latest version 6.0.1 of Messenger for Mac, i
can send files
but not receive files during a chat. I have opened the suggested ports
on my Mac firewall
as well as my third-party software firewall which was working fine with
the older version of messenger. I also have a router. Do I have to
do anything
with the router?
Is there something I might be missing?

Hi Jackson!

Can you do a simple test to see if this is caused by your router or
possibly something else? Just plug your computer directly into your
Internet connection (without the router in between) and test. If
necessary also disable your third party firewall while doing the test.

Do either of these look like the culprit?
