Hello,

I've been trying to set up Mesenger 5.1.1.
When I sign in I get a dialog box saying I need to respond to an email
that I should be getting from "passport network services". I've never
recieved the email.

I've signed into passport.com to make sure my passport account is in
good order.
I've unistalled, deleted all preferences and reinstalled Messenger with
no luck.
I've checked my email account to verify that it is working.

When I attempt to sign in, I still get the messege about the
verification email (that has never arrived).

Is ther something simple that I'm missing here?

Thanks, Blumer

Hi Blumer,

The verification mail is to confirm your account. I might suggest checking
to see if it landed in a junk mail or spam folder.

This is server side related. Any client you use with this account will
request that you click the link in the verification mail. If you created a
hotmail account when signing up, check your hotmail account to confirm that
it isn¹t waiting for you there.

Thanks,
Rebecca

Rebecca,

I've double checked. There hasn't been any emails from passport network
services. I've checked spam and junk mail floders, and when to  my ISP
site and checked there also.
I did not set up a hotmail account, so there is nothing there to check.

I even checked my passport account to verify my email address and
that's OK also.

I'm stumped! Any other ideas?

Thanks,
Blumer

Hi Blumer,

Here are a few suggestions for getting the e-mail resent.

1. Contact Support via this e-mail form asking them to resend with your
passport account e-mail you used for setting up your account. Here is a link
to the form:

> s_form_byemail&ct=eformts
2. OR Try the following to get an e-mail sent to verify:

1. Go to www.passport.net
2. Log in with your details if you're not yet logged in
3. View/Edit your details
4. Under your email address, there's a link "I need to change this"
5. Change the email to something else
6. do all over again to change the email back to what it was
7. Follow your email and wait for the SECOND email confirmation message
8. Click the link on the email to verify your email address (follow the
instructions)

It'll ask you to log in once more in order for the verification to complete.

Thanks,
Rebecca
