It is possible to do this however doing so will also mean that you will lose
your current settings for all your accounts that you have on Microsoft
Messenger.
The process requires you to delete the preference files for Microsoft
Messenger.
Deleting those files will mean that your display picture set on your current
account will change back to the default and that your contact list if you had
it sorted by groups etc will go back to showing who's online / offline
instead of your groups but you can easily change this back. Another setting
you will lose is your text format such as font, size and colour.
If you are happy to go ahead and reset those settings once your finished
then all you need to do is delete the following files from your computer
after you have closed Microsoft Messenger:
Make sure you quit Microsoft Messenger and that it is not running first
before attempting this:
1. Go to your Home Folder > Library > Preferences > Microsoft
Delete the following files from this folder:
com.microsoft.Messenger.plist
com.microsoft.MessengerDaemon.plist
Microsoft Messenger User Cache
2. open Microsoft Messenger again, it will take you through the installation
setup process again and that should be it.
Let me know how you get on with this and hopefully you'll find that helpful.
