i have an old imac with OS 10.2.8 and obviously i've been using
messenger for mac 4.1..now today i come online and it says that there's
a new version..then it starts downloading the new version, but near the
end it stopped..i go to the microsoft site and read that the new
version (5.0) is for OS tiger..and that if you have 10.2.8 you should
use 4.1..
i tried relaunching the 4.1 from the installer directly, but it doesn't
work..it keeps on saying that in order to use the messenger again, i
MUST have the new version, even if i can't support it..
does it means that i won't be able to use msn messenger again? because
if that's the case..I'M FREAKING OUT!

Hi
I think there is some sites that you can get 4.1 from, try searching for
one. You should be able to use it without having to upgrade for a while but
then it will prompt you to upgrade, try it again then.
