help with messenger video chat

i have messenger on my g4 power book and am trying to video conference
with my dad who uses a pc. he can vid conf but i don't see able to,
what version of messenger do i need to be able to vid conf?
when he tries to vid conf with me i do get and invitation to start a
conf with him and a link to a d/load that doesn't work as it is for pc
i think.

Unfortunately, Mac Messenger can't do video conferencing - yet, at least.

It is probably the most commonly requested feature, and I live in eternal
hope that it will arrive one day...
