Missing features from Messenger Mac?

When can we please get Mac Messenger with the same feature parity as
Windows. It is really frustrating (being a ex-windows user) not having
some of the Windows Messenger features. Audio/Video conferences,
nudges, winks, voice clips to name a few. I still use the windows
version because I can't live without these features. It would be great
if the Mac version had feature parity with the windows product. C'mon
Microsoft hand it over...

I would also willingly help test any alpha/beta software on the Mac as
I use these features daily to communicate with family back in the UK.

Thanks...
Paul

You can be assured that MS are well aware of the user's appeals for parity,
and would dearly love to have AV features in Messenger for Mac. I live in
hope that it will appear one day! However, you must also realise that adding
features to messenger for mac is not really a money spinner for MS - now
that messenger is more closely integrated into Office, it may benefit from
the higher profile that will give, especially in the corporate world, but
I'm guessing they still don't have a bucket full of money to throw at some
pretty significant 'issues' that are in the way.

I'm not aware of any current test programmes for messenger. The beta
programmes are usually fairly strictly controlled on the mac side - I
believe that some of the larger enterprise clients get an invite or two in
the later stages of a product cycle, but I don't believe they ever throw a
public beta out.
