Can anyone help? I just got a Mac (first time user) and I've tried to
download MSN messanger, and it keeps asking me to download a newer
version. But when I do, it keeps coming back to the same spot. Help!
I've uninstalled the Microsoft test drive, and installed the micorsoft
office, and installed the update from the net, with no results....what
am I doing wrong?

Is it possible it's asking you to download a newer version of the
extraction utility and not of messenger?

You are probably downloading a new version and then running the old
version. The latest version is called Microsoft Messenger. The previous
version is called MSN Messenger.
When you download Microsoft Messenger you are downloading a disk image
file. It has the suffix .dmg. It will mount and you will see a window
with the Microsoft Messenger icon. Copy this to your applications folder
and then each time you want to run it launch that copy.
You should delete any copy that is called MSN Messenger.
