Hi folks-

I have a new 2.0 Ghz dual G5 running 10.4.2 and Messenger 4.01 and I
can't seem to paste into the conversations. It's getting very annoying,
as this seems to be the only machine I can't do it on. Has anyone else
seen this problem? I've reinstalled it and fixed permissions and
deleted the preference files. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Matt

I went thru the same problem and the only option I found was to use the
commands from the keyboard to do that.  Higlight desired portion and press
the command button (the one that has an apple drawing on top) plus letter
c and you will copy, press command button plus v and you will paste
whatever it is that you copied.  It is very rudimentary but is better than
not being able to do it!

Thanks Danny, but unfortunately, that's exactly what I've been doing.
I'm usually trying to paste in an URL for someone to check out, and I
can't paste into the text box from any where. It has gotten very
frustrating, and I'm considering reinstalling the OS, but I don't think
that's where the problem lies.

Wow, that is pretty strange.  I resolved not to use MSN messenger unless
I'm sending files, my default messenger is Mercury.  Mercury has a lot of
cool futures, plus video/web cam conference which MSN is not even near to
consider that for Mac.  I just reintalled Mac on my pc and I haven't
changed any settings at all and I can copy and paste like I told you.  On
Mercury you don't have a limit to what you copy and paste into a
conversation (I've done really long texts with good results).  I sometimes
regret buying a Mac but its all I got!!!
