I second that
I am running OS9.2.2 and using Messenger 2.5.1 which shows as 2.5.0 in
'about Messenger' and using Internet Explorer 5.1 for mac. I do
receive the New Email notification when I log in. I click the
notification and it fires up the Internet Explorer but then it stops
with the 'Error' message saying 'No such address or device'. My friend
on the other hand has the same programs on Mac OS9 and he can access
email without any failure or error message by clicking on the New
Email notification box and on the Email Icon in  Messenger 2.5.1.
There seems to be no sepecific configuration that I could copy to my
Browser Preferences or Messenger Preferences. Please Help!

Correction: My friend has the same OS as me i.e. OS9.2.2 and the same
ver of Messenger and Internet Explorer. He can using the email button
from within Messenger and can access hotmail emails automatically by
clicking on notifications as well.  Please Help!
