Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

Hi

I can see my own display picture but cannot see anybody elses. I have tried both conventional ways of clearing this up; clearing the history and going through the appearances tabs while signed on. Neither of these has helped me. Does anybody have another suggestion??

Same Problem here.

Upgraded from 6.0.3 to 7 yesterday.

It is intermitent. Almost all of my contacts are PC, I'm Mac. Some are showing, some aren't.

If I switch to Windows Live Mgr on WinXP machine I can see them all so I know they have them set up.

Switch back to the Mac I don't see them. Sometimes I've opened a window and it's taken a few seconds then one appears, other times I just end up staring at green Microsoft Head & Shoulders guy.

I tried the "account clearing" procedure suggested yesterday. It didn't help. I have the "show... from others" and "show inside conv.." both ticked.

I am browsing the forum and I find similar posts since a very long time ago. It seems like other users' display pictures are not shown unless they use the built-in messenger icons which I really don't care to see anyways. Is this a rocket-science matter of programming to solve?

I'm having the same problem. It's really frustrating when my contact says, "Don't you love my display pic?" :(
