I'm using Firefox as a browser now, and also have Messenger:Mac installed for my hotmail account. When I get a message from messenger, it takes me to the Firefox mail application rather than my Mac Mail account. I would prefer to use Mac. How do I disable this hotmail link in Firefox? Any ideas? I have changed the "mail" to under preferences in Firefox, but it still opens Firefox when I click a new hotmail message.

That is actually the normal way mail messages are handled in Messenger.
Hotmail is a web-based e-mail service and it is not officially compatible
with Apple Mail. Messenger automatically opens your default browser and logs
you into the Hotmail web interface so you can view your messages. What would
you actually expect to happen? Have you managed to get your Hotmail account
up and running in Apple Mail via a plug-in? If yes, why would you need to
click on the Mail button in Messenger?

Thanks -- Yes, I figured it out shortly after I posted this, actually -- my default web browser had been switched to Firefox. I've changed the default back to Safari, and it's working for me now the way it was previously. However, I do wish I could get the plug-in to get my hotmail to receive in my mailbox. It picks it up at our library and at other places, but not in our home for some reason. But I do have mail going to my Mac mailbox now when I click the mail link in Messenger:Mac. Thanks for the message.

I can't get into my hotmail account any more on Messenger:Mac with Safari. I have to log in, and then it says the following:
"Windows Live ID is unavailable from this site for one of the following reasons:
This site may be experiencing a problem.
The site may not be a member of Windows Live ID."
I CAN get into my hotmail account from Messenger:Mac if I use Firefox as my default browser, but I still have to log in every time. I've checked "Save my e-mail address and password," but it still requires it every time. This is why I was trying to go back to using Safari as my default browser, because it was letting me into Windows Live Hotmail without having to put in the password every time. Now it won't let me in at all. Any ideas?
