Hiya All

I had same problem here as you, till I done the following:

A) Make sure Messenger is in your Application folder, not inside your
Microsoft Office folder.
B) Go to your preferences (home folder/Library/Preferences/Microsoft and
delete the following:-
com.microsoft.Messenger.plist
Its worth doing a restart here!!

C) when you now open Messenger, it should say, keychains preferences have
changed for application Microsoft Messenger, want do you want to do Always
Allow, Allow, or don't allow

D) click on the button, Always allow.
E) It then should ask you for your e-mail address and password, which will
now allow you you to use Messenger for Macs.

Please note the web cam facilty will only work on corporate accounts.
