I have MS Office 2004 on my mac. Recently, my MSN Messenger icon on the dock has a "?" superimposed on it and I can't open it or find this application. I believe it occurred after an automatic Mac update. How do I regain MSN Messenger and why did this happen?

Did you properly install Microsoft Messenger by dragging the icon from the
disk image into your Applications folder? If you ran it from the disk image,
the the Dock does not know where to find the application unless you launch
open the disk image. Simply re-download the application from the Microsoft
website and re-install the application by dragging it into the Applications
folder.

Oh, and after you've downloaded and re-installed the app, remove the
question mark icon from the Dock and drag the new application's icon to the
Dock to create a new shortcut.
