by passing a proxy

here is a chalenge

the proxy server at my school has password and user name
Microsoft Messenger for mac will not work due to when it's on http
proxy can not have password. the pc has it open and it works on pc.

so what can i do to open this box so it will work for me?

Hi Jamie,

Do you have a password set in System Preferences | under proxies for your
network setup? You can set a Web Proxy (http) and enter a password there.
Within Messenger you can tell it to use a specific proxy under the
Preferences | Accounts tab or use automatic. If you have a proxy with
password set in Network Preferences you should choose automatic.
