Dear All, please help me!

I have just bought a mac laptop and I downloaded MSN 3.5.1. However it
asks me to dowload an update as well (Messenger.bin) but I don't know
how to open it. Do you know if there is any program to open
files .bin?

Thanks

Hi,

what kind of laptop did you buy? If it is a new Mac running Mac OS X 10.3 or
later, you should simply download the latest version of Microsoft Messenger
(6.0.2) from Mactopia <http://www.microsoft.com/mac/>. That one is installed
via a disk image, meaning that you do not need to open any .bin file
whatsoever. For your information, though, .bin files are MacBinary archives,
which you can open with the free Stuffit Expander
<http://www.stuffit.com/mac/expander/index.html>.
