Difference between Mac and PC Functionality

I use the latest versions of Windows Live Messenger (PC) and Microsoft
Messenger (Mac). Why is there such a major difference between the
functionality on the Mac and PC versions?

For example, the Mac version does not support:
- voice chat.
- receiving off-line messages. [I receive them when I sign in using
the PC version.]

You need to ask Microsoft those questions. It's just that they haven't
bothered to incorporate them at this time.

In the meantime, try using aMSN instead, as that does at least support
AV Chat.

Not that they haven't "bothered". But Messenger and Live are free
products and the Macintosh Business Unit, which develops Messenger for
Mac, has to prioritize its resources and its time. Keep in mind that the
Mac community is relatively small compared to Windows.

But A/V is coming

Not sure about off-line messages.

Hope this helps! bill
