I am new to Apple all together so I wanted to get some advice from you
Apple experts as to what model MacBook or Desktop would be a good one
to run Final Cut Pro 6 or Final Cut Studio 2 on?  Thanks for you help
and advice...

Well, it depends on the job you want to accomplish.  For most tasks, A
MacBook Pro or iMac, possibly with an external display attached, would
be fine.  However, If you'll be doing HD video, probably a Mac Pro
tower would be better.

Cheers
