I recently installed 'Sync2it', a Macintosh program that purports to
synchronize bookmarks over multiple browsers (I run a PowerBook G4 with
the latest Tiger OS). Unfortunately it seems to have 'synched' my
Firefox with my Safari by updating Firefox and deleting all my Safari
bookmarks (my default browser). In looking through my system (with
Spotlight) for files/folders called 'booksmarks', I come up with
multiple possibilities, all of which have the Safari icon and 'open
with Safari' (I have since verified/repaired my permissions). I would
like to know from someone the proper location of Bookmarks for the
following browsers:

Safari
Firefox
Internet Explorer
Netscape Navigator/Communicator

Many thanks

I've been using Macs since way back when the operating system really was
transparent and made sense to a novice. The argument that all
applications worked the say way was one of the ones that convinced me to
go Mac with my first computer. Maybe where bookmarks files are stored is
not something the average user needs, or wants, to know, but in the old
days of the 1980s there were no average user and it seemed that Apple
was never for the average user. Today it's a lot harder for that same
user to make sense of things.

Anyone know how I can move my iPod from OS9 to OS X? The old iPod just
isnt seen by the new OS.

I pod Updater, download it from apple website and run the update with
the ipod connected.

If you already have the latest Itunes and Quicktime it should auto
detect that your ipod needs updating and offer to download and install
it
