it's not sold individually.  either get it in the ilife suite, the os x
box set, or with a new mac.

Just curious - how much would you expect to pay for it if it were
available separately?

Just buy a new iMac. Or MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, or Mac Mini.

They all come with iPhoto (and the rest of iLive '09 is tossed in for
free, too).

Wouldn't buying iLife09 for less than $100 be just a tad cheaper than
buying a new computer ?

If you are running on hardware/OS which is too old to support iLife09,
then you will have to look on ebay or other second hand suppliers to get
an older version.

Well sure, but he *asked*.

I guess the time spend thinking up the clever replys got in the way of
the reading of what I ask. It was a very simple question maybe that was
what through you off.

"Threw".

And since you trimmed out your original question: "Does any one know if
the program iPhoto 09 can be purchased other then a part of iLife 09?",
one might note that the only answer that apparently merited your
approbation did *not* offer an alternative to buying iLife, which you
explicitly called for, it just pointed to a vendor offering iLife for a
lower price.

Why not just ask "can I get iPhoto for less than what Apple charges"?

Threw, got me on that one where will the star be hung?
I did in fact get iLife 09 in case any one else would like to get the
same it was $41.00 on eBay shipping free.
Thanks to those who's intent was to help as to Mr. Hix I feel he is a
lot like the guy that has fun giving people the bird from a moving car.
But I can't even spell "threw" so what do I know.

Just trying to be helpful.

Really that's what you would suggest.. I guess the old saying " ask a
silly question get a silly answer" must come in play here some how but
I fail to see just where..

"Be careful what you ask for", obviously.

You asked where you could get iPhoto '09 without buying iLife.

No specification of lower price or any other criterion.

You're welcome.

Not with your enthusiastically ambiguous question, no.

One can buy a new copy of iLife '09 on Amazon for around $55, an over $20 off
the list price.
