I'm playing a game Diablo2 on my G5 iMac Power PC, and
would like to be able to do this without having the CD running in the
drive.
Can someone explain how to do this for me.  thanks,

Gary

You could create a disk image using a utility such as Disk Utility or
Toast. That may be sufficient enough to create an image to mount as a
virtual cd. However the downside to this is the file size of the
resulting disk image. You may also want to check with the vendor to
see if any patches or "no cd" patches exist. I know StarCraft recently
had an official patch from Blizzard allowing no cd to be required when
playing, though to do this you needed to copy archives files (at
approximately 500 MB a piece onto your HDD).
