Yes, the web application (ASP.Net to be exact) is running on a windows
XP box and I need to access it from Mac OS X over wireless connection.
Like I said, I can connect to the shared folder on XP box, bit don't
know how to access the web application.

This doesn't have much to do with Macs, but more to do with networking
standards. You need to access the web server through TCP/IP. If you're
not running DNS on your network, with a static IP address and associated
host name for this web server, you'll have to use the current IP address
of the web server in the URL, like so:
http://IPAddress/path/to/pages...
