Hi,

My sister has a Mac G4 and I want to get her a DVD drive.  Does anyone
know if the HP DVD1040i Lightscribe drive or the Sony DRU190A 20x DVD
drive will work? She is running the Tiger OS.

Thanks in advance for the help,

John Gerard

Can't tell you if those drives work with your system, but I bought a DL
Pioneer 110D for my 1GHz Dual G4.  It works just fine.  I did need
Patchburn to get the 10.4.11 to recognize it as a drive that can burn
DVDs.

iTunes, iDVD, Disk Utility, etc. work OK with it.  Toast 6 and Toast 7
worked OK without the Patchburn changes but the Mac utilities didn't.
