There's a nice little free app called GrandPerspective which has an
interesting way of showing you where your disk space has gone, which
might help.

Yes, I'd recommend this one, too.
In my experience there can be a huge amount of stuff lurking in the
Library's Cache folder.
Adobe programs store rendered previews there and also the QuickTime
cache can grow to humongous sizes.
Regarding QuickTime you can set the cache size in System Preferences >
QuickTime > Browser.

Thanks I will take a look 68Gigs of library seems like alot with only 12
gigs of actual data.
