Ta. They need to update the Mail help files. It says in the Organising Smart
Mailboxes entry:
"As with regular mailboxes, you can ³nest² Smart Mailbox folders by creating
new Smart Mailbox folders within existing Smart Mailbox folders."
I couldn't get it to work.

Hey ya,
I think I have working here what you are trying to do. e.g. Subfolders
within the smart mailboxes.
E.G.
Smart folder
....... Sub Smart folder
............ Sub Sub Smart folder.
Works for me, if this is what you are asking.
Use the Mailbox option from the menubar to creat folders. then drag and
drop them into each other and include mailboxes where needed.

Hmm. I don't seem to be able to get them to nest, they just reorder
within the Smart Folders section of the sidebar. Leopard here.

Bingo. You have to have nothing selected in the Sidebar then the "New Smart
Mailbox Folder..." menu item becomes available. This allows the creation of
an enclosing folder for Smart mailboxes. Just drag your Smart Mailsboxes into
it. Excellent.
