Mac Forum / Country Specific / UK Mac Group / May 2008Virgin Usenet problem?
Anyone having trouble with Virgin? I can read, but can't post either to news.cable.ntlworld.com or news.virgin.net. Using Hogwasher, I get error code 100440, and a message saying "The news server refused to post the article. Either the server does not allow posting or the selected newsgroup is moderated. Try posting to a different group." I'm in Bromley, FWIW. And I'm having to use Googlegroups to post this. Grumble, whinge. One carries binaries and the other has an outdated group list. There's a fair bit of grumbling on the discussion/feedback groups but you need to alter the server to which your client connects. In fact i believe it has improved greatly now since Blueyonder days - presume either new server or new bought in service.
