Anyone having trouble with Virgin? I can read, but can't post either
to news.cable.ntlworld.com or news.virgin.net.
Using Hogwasher, I get error code 100440, and a message saying "The
news server refused to post the article. Either the server does not
allow posting or the selected newsgroup is moderated. Try posting to a
different group."
I'm in Bromley, FWIW.
And I'm having to use Googlegroups to post this. Grumble, whinge.

They only have text.news.virginmedia.com or news.virginmedia.com as of
some time this morning. One carries binaries and the other has an
outdated group list.
There's a fair bit of grumbling on the discussion/feedback groups but
you need to alter the server to which your client connects.

Okay, it's Virgin's fault - they're mucking about with their news servers.
I'll report back....

I'm sorry, I can't read your post as I filter Googlegroups.

news.virginmedia.com is working fine for me at home. In fact i believe
it has improved greatly now since Blueyonder days - presume either new
server or new bought in service.

ALL virgin media news servers have now been combined into one,
news.virginmedia.com, although the old ones are still present to view one
cannot post messages. There should be a warning message in capitals and
repeated 3 times to alert users.
