Am trying to run this in Fusion beta 2 - wondering if the problem is
VMware or just Windows. Can I hell get XP SP3 to download and install
via Windows Update. There's a long pause, followed by a "Failed to
install" message. No further details.

Anyone managed it yet?

Cheers,
Ian

The weekend before last, I upgraded from SP2 under Fusion before rolling
it out on some real Windows boxes. It went smoothly but I had downloaded
the installer (as it was going to be put on a few machines) rather than
going via Windows/Microsoft Update. Available from

76-401f-be08-1e1555d4f3d4>. I'd grabbed it before the RMS issue resulted
in its delay.

That said, the links for the above and the ISO appear to be failing at
present so it may be an issue at Microsoft's end.
