I need an elapsed-time clock that I can easily stop and restart (like a
chess clock, that one would reach out and tap).

Is there such a thing for Mac OS X?

I rember a suggestion once to use a chess clock for ork-meetings - set
it to 15 mins each, say your piece then hit the button - the meeting is
*guaranteed* to be over in 30 mins ;-)

Ooo no... a chess clock has to be hardware otherwise you don't get that
satisfaction of executing a particularly good move and giving the clock a
hearty smack.
