Mac Forum / Country Specific / UK Mac Group / May 2008mail app and time ?
I have a weird request Is there anyway of having an account in mail.app only checking for new mail between certain times. I am wanting to add my work email but do not want it to update after 6pm and before 8am, is that possible ? if so how would I go about doing it ? The closest you can get natively is to untick the "include this account when automatically collecting mail" and collect it manually now and then. Is there a real reason not to collect mail out of hours? Because the easy answer is to leave it going and just ignore anything that arrives... Assuming you've done that by setting up two accounts in Mail, can't you just take the work account offline at 6pm and bring it back online at 8am? Mailbox > Online status > ???
