recording streaming audio with wire tap pro

Several times now I've tried to record streaming audio from a site with
WTP 1.2.0.
The stream is in good order, but everytime I play it back the recording
is mutilated: it seems to miss fragments of seconds. Until now I never
had this problem.
I'm working with 10.5.2 o a 2 Ghz iMac with 2GB memory.
When I made the recording there were no other programms running.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

I think Wiretap Pro is broken on 10.5.2. The kernel extension
interferes with my USB microphone - in fact it stopped the USB
microphone being routed to any application. Upgrading to Wiretap
Studio solved the problem - and now the only problem I have is that he
USB mic picks up all manner of crap when my MacBook Pro is connected
to the charger. (I discovered this trying to get MacSpeech Dictate to
work). Maybe 10.5.3 will fix the problem??

I use Audio Hijack Pro or RadioShift (both by Rogue Amoeba) for this
kind of thing. Seems like better quality/better maintained/more reliable
software to me.

Had the same problem here, so I dumped it.
